Bayerisches Geologisches Landesamt
He is the director of the Bavarian Geological State Office in Marktredwitz. His special field of interest is the study of clays, clay minerals and associated phases. He is editor of "Clays and Clay Minerals". Together with our group he has conducted extensive studies on the processes occurring on firing of clays in different atmospheres. In these studies we are concerned with the reconstruction of ancient production technologies of ceramics, while he is mainly interested in the mineralogical changes during firing. |
